Your centre's name
In consultation with Dja Dja Wurrung Traditional Owners, Early Learning Victoria Dupitjin has been chosen as the name of the new early learning and childcare centre at Wedderburn College. Dupitjin is a Dja Dja Wurrung word which is the original name of the place.
During the planning, design, and construction phases, the centre was known by its interim name, Early Learning Victoria Wedderburn.
About the centre
We have opened a new early learning and childcare centre at Wedderburn College. It’s run by Early Learning Victoria, a Victorian Government organisation. We offer long day care and integrated kinder for 90 children each day. Early Learning Victoria Dupitjin currently also offers a sessional kindergarten program
The centre also has:
- a consulting room for child and family services, such as maternal and child health and allied health
- a multi-purpose room for community meetings and playgroups.
Does your organisation need a place to run programs? Express your interest in using a room.
This project is jointly funded by the Australian Government and the Victorian Government through the Building Early Education Fund 2026
